Arangetrams

Beyond adavus and abhinaya, I want my students to walk away with life tools - discipline, a deep respect for tradition, the ability to hold space on stage, and the humility to always keep learning.
From their very first class, I encourage curiosity, expression, and consistency. It’s never about rushing to the arangetram, but about earning it. Every rehearsal, every correction, every fall and rise shapes them into dancers ready for that moment.
The arangetram itself is not an endpoint, but a rite of passage - a celebration of effort, transformation, and the bond we’ve built over years of practice. I strive to be friendly and accessible, creating a space where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and speak their minds. That comfort fosters trust, and trust is where true learning happens.
Grants have also made a meaningful difference, opening doors to performance, mentorship, and deeper engagement with the art. These opportunities give students something tangible to work toward, keeping them accountable to the form and motivated to continue growing as artists.
